Born in Chicago, Illinois.

Born on Chicago's Southside, Donell Jones left the tough culture of the streets and dedicated himself to music.

A chance meeting with Eddie F, president of Untouchables Entertainment got one of Jones' penned songs recorded by Usher and on it's success, his first solo recording, "My Heart" produced by heavyweights Babyface & L.A. Reid entered the R&B charts in 1996.

In addition to recording his own music, Jones found the time to write additional hits for Usher (again) and 702.

It took three years for Jones' second album to appear. It reached the Top 10 and spawning a pair of Top 10 R&B singles as well. Jones took some time off and then returned in 2002 with his third album, "Life Goes On"
