Up here in Canada we still religiously buy are weekly lottery tickets in the slim chance of winning a million (or two)...though the stats say we have a better chance at getting hit by lightning (lol)
Any who, the Canadian government introduced a new lottery game called Lotto Max sometime back in Sept. of 2009 (which has emptied a few hundred out of my wallet thus far...bastards :), and along with this lottery came the commercials to dream of winning each week, and tagged to each commercial is this wonderful piece of ear candy music that had you whistling along each time.

Yesterday I discovered where the theme music came from. It's a wonderful song from 2005 called 'Love Generation'. A single by Bob Sinclair with vocals by Gary Pine (a member of the Jamaican band The Wailers, formed by Bob Marley), which was a massive hit across Europe, Australia, and a wee less in the UK

Very cool, Don.  Very cool find.  And I seriously think it's great that you're still buying Lotto Max even though you know in your heart that I'm gonna win the jackpot.

The stats say you guys have a one-in-28-million-chance of winning the jackpot prize, or one-in-600,000-chance of a $1M prize.  

Some people use computer software to help pick the winning numbers based on past results (eg Lotto Sorcerer), maybe that would improve your odds?  

FYI: OzLotto is the Australian counterpart of your lottery which had a record jackpot last year of about $110 million.  Historical - nswlotteries.com.au/about/history.html

I did work as a Mailman myself a while ago when I was between jobs but never had an experience like that.  The main hazard to avoid was savage dogs and some of the guys who's route had that problem carried a 'pacifier' made out of 2x2 hardwood just in case.
